Cultivating Clarityin Observability
At OllyGarden, we believe that high-quality telemetry is the bedrock of reliable and performant systems. Founded by dedicated OpenTelemetry contributors, we're on a mission to help organizations worldwide eliminate 'bad telemetry,' gain actionable insights, and unlock the true potential of their observability data.
Our Mission: Efficient Telemetry for All
We exist to improve the efficiency of telemetry pipelines, envisioning a world where all organizations can confidently use the telemetry they need, without excess.
Our Mission
We strive to empower engineering teams by providing tools and insights that simplify the complexities of telemetry management, reduce waste, and make observability more accessible and cost-effective.
Our Vision
We envision a future where 'bad telemetry' is a rarity, where instrumentation is purposeful, and where observability data consistently delivers profound value, driving better software and more resilient systems.
From Community Roots to Company Vision
OllyGarden was born from real-world experience and a passion for solving complex telemetry challenges within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
The "Aha!" Moment
OllyGarden began with a simple observation: while the intricacies of OpenTelemetry felt obvious to some deeply embedded in the project, they posed significant hurdles for many others. This gap in understanding and accessible tooling sparked the idea for a company dedicated to demystifying and optimizing these critical components by offering a product purpose-built for busy Observability Engineers.
By not being a traditional observability backend vendor, we are able to build products that have a clean and unambiguous goals: the efficiency of your telemetry pipelines.
The Name "OllyGarden"
The name 'OllyGarden' reflects our deep connection to the observability ('o11y') and OpenTelemetry communities and our philosophy of carefully cultivating high-quality telemetry – like tending a thriving garden – to yield valuable insights. We believe in nurturing data quality the same way a gardener tends to their plants.
The OllyGardeners
OllyGarden is powered by a dedicated team of engineers and strategists with deep roots in OpenTelemetry and a shared passion for efficient observability.
